Educar 2000 Educational Unit is characterized by the use of the foreign language as a skill for communication, thus the English teaching methodology is based on the communicative approach such as topic based learning, total physical response and project based learning with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) inside and outside the classroom. Thus, the teachers and students participate together in ludic activities that help the learning of English to be an exciting experience of skill development. At the end of each sublevel, the students are evaluated to verify the program of English teaching to be effective. ETS, is an international institution that evaluate students with the TOEFL examination, such as the TOEFL primary and TOEFL junior in our case. Our goal is that, at the end of high school, the students must get the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
We have qualified staff as teachers since year by year we train and evaluate to fulfill and overcome the requirements to be English teachers. Every year Educar 2000 High School organize different scholar projects through the English area. For example, we participate in external events of singing, reading and speech and internal events such as our “Christmas show”, “story telling contest”, “Spelling bee”, etc.
